As the Corporate Finance Manager reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will support Group Management and Executive’s longer-term decision-making and support capital market activities, including fund-raising and M&A.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Own Medium to long-term Group financial planning approaches and models
2. Provide timely, accurate and reliable financial forecasts & actionable analysis to the leaders
3. Proactively identify performance improvement opportunities and risks
4. Lead strategic projects to deliver value-enhancing outcomes
5. Support the continual development of the KPI and metric repositories for use in financial models or assessments and support the development of the Group’s ESG planning & reporting
6. Serve as the key point of contact to the Capital Investment Committee offering analysis and advice to assist their decision making
You are a highly motivated & resourceful team player with strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills. Your ability to present & report complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders clearly and succinctly is proof of your excellent communications skills.
Ideally you will also have:
7. Relevant tertiary qualifications, though these are not essential
8. Professional certifications such as CA or CFA qualified are desirable
9. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or related roles.
10. Strong financial and business acumen including a strong understanding of corporate finance principles, approaches to forecasting, financial markets, and accounting concepts
11. Hands-on experience of developing complex financial forecast models is essential
12. High Proficiency in Excel. Exposure to both group planning & reporting systems
13. Knowledge of the steel industry and its value drivers is highly preferred
14. Experience using TM1 (Planning Analytics) and SAP is preferred.
