Job Description
As a senior technical leader, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Tablelands region by leading the development engineering function.
You will be responsible for assessing operational works and development applications, providing strategic engineering input into land use and network planning, and ensuring subdivision, infrastructure, and development projects meet TRC standards.
Additionally, you will represent Council through site inspections, audits, and liaison with developers, consultants, and asset custodians, and manage and mentor a small team to foster a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Finally, you will contribute to the review and development of planning schemes, policies, and FNQROC Development Manual.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* RPEQ accreditation (or ability to obtain within 12 months – Council will cover the cost and time spent obtaining this accreditation).
* Strong experience in development engineering, civil infrastructure, and network planning.
* Proven ability to manage projects, people, and external contractors effectively.
* A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with highly developed communication and problem-solving skills.
