We're seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst
to join a high-performing technology team within a leading organisation in the financial services sector. This is an excellent contract opportunity for a technically strong BA who thrives at the intersection of business, data, and technology.
About the Role
You'll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document requirements, ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives and technical standards. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in enterprise data environments, analytics, and complex system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead requirements gathering across functional, technical, and data domains
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
* Collaborate with developers, architects, and engineers on solution design
* Perform data analysis, lineage tracking, and quality assurance
* Produce detailed documentation (user stories, BPMN, specs, data models)
* Conduct impact analysis and support testing/validation activities
* Identify process improvement opportunities and drive innovation
* Deliver training and knowledge transfer to teams and users
Key Requirements
* 8+ years Business Analysis experience
* Strong SQL and data analytics expertise
* Experience with Agile, Jira, Confluence
* Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and database concepts
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Strong SDLC and change management understanding
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Highly Desirable
* Financial Services industry experience
* Data Governance / Information Management knowledge
* Understanding of Australian Privacy Act & regulatory standards
* Experience with DB2 or SQL Server
