About the Role
Lead Operational Excellence in a High-Impact Environment
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead our Logistics and Equipment function and drive operational excellence across the business.
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing operational activities to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of equipment, materials, systems and processes aligned with organisational objectives and service delivery standards.
This is a strategic leadership role accountable for ensuring cleaning operations are fully equipped, systems-driven and operating to the highest standards. You will provide strong direction to teams, strengthen operational frameworks and design, implement and embed sustainable processes that support quality outcomes.
This role will suit a resilient and adaptable leader who can bring direction in complex environments, keep momentum during periods of pressure and ensure operations run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage operational activities to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of equipment, materials and systems
* Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation to meet service delivery standards and business priorities
* Develop, implement and review operational procedures, workflows and reporting frameworks to drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement
* Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to support operational objectives and contract management
* Manage warehousing operations, including the coordination, storage and distribution of equipment, consumables and uniforms to ensure stock levels
* Ensure effective management of CRM systems, maintain data accuracy, service visibility and operational responsiveness
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* The ability to identify blockers early and implement creative, workable solutions that keep teams moving
* Confident leadership capability, with a calm and steady approach that builds trust, accountability and performance within your team
* A strong track record of building and embedding practical processes, systems and reporting frameworks in environments where structure is still evolving
Key Challenges
* Ensuring equipment, supplies and systems are consistently ready and responsive to frontline cleaning teams
* Managing operational pressure and competing priorities while maintaining momentum and service delivery
Essential Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business, operations, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
* Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
