Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our General/Gynae/Urology team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Responsibilities
Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
Undertaking direct patient care, as required
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Qualifications / Requirements
Current Registration with AHPRA
Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
Understand the requirements of private health funding
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
