A Specialist Medical Practitioner role is available, working with a team that provides state-wide support to patients using virtual care technologies.
About the Team
The team is an interdisciplinary service that offers remote support to patients with various illnesses and chronic conditions. This service aims to improve patient health outcomes and reduce potentially preventable hospital admissions. As part of this team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to patients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialized virtual care to patients enrolled in our services, managing non-urgent acute and chronic conditions suitable for management in a home care environment.
* Deliver a full range of virtual clinical services, such as triage, assessment, patient management plans, clinical governance, guidance, advice, support, and expert opinions.
* Support private general practice when facing significant staffing challenges, providing face-to-face and virtual care consultations as needed.
* Provide interim supervision to GP registrars, international medical graduates, and junior doctors working in district hospitals and temporary deployments to primary care in high-risk community settings.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Holds specialist registration.
* Is a registered medical practitioner who is an international medical graduate on the specialist pathway.
* Current working with children registration (where applicable).
