Day and evening shift roles available. The Opportunity Based in Northgate on Brisbane’s northside we are seeking to add experienced and qualified Leading Hand Diesel Mechanics to our expanding team. Reporting to our on-site Maintenance Supervisor and Equipment Manager, as a part of a 50 vehicle fleet operation. The day-to-day task that you will be responsible for include: Oversee team maintenance tasks for compliance to maintenance and safety standards/procedures. Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor with daily operational tasks. i.e. maintaining the companies computerised maintenance management system, paperwork processing, parts identification and ordering etc. Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and unplanned repair work to our fleet Conduct test driving and/or operating vehicles to verify repairs have been completed to the required standard About You To be successful in this role, you will have the following: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent). Valid HR licence and forklift high risk license preferred, though support is available to obtain if required. Experience with a range of makes and models of heavy vehicles and trailers including with waste bodies, electrics and or hydraulics will be advantageous. Computer literacy skills with experience in JDE (CMMS) and Microsoft Office programs will be advantageous. Focus on safety and sustainability.
