At Infinispark, we design and manufacture training and assessment equipment for training organisations that teach Electrical apprentices. Our equipment is used in TAFEs, RTOs, Schools, Defense, Rail, Mining and Electrical Contracting companies
Overview of the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical/Electronics Technician to join our operations team. Your main responsibilities will be conducting product assembly and testing. With your excellent technical and interpersonal skills and a polite and can do attitude, you'll be able to help our team improve careers of electrical apprentices and professionals with our practical training equipment and services.
Key responsibilities
* Routinely conducting product testing and assembly based on our processes
* Following technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications for assembly, testing and maintenance procedures.
* Using various testing equipment to measure and analyse system performance.
* Undertaking fault-finding activities on our products
* Assisting the engineering team in R&D
* Following safety procedures
* Assisting in ongoing process improvement
* Maintaining accurate documentation for assembly, testing, repairs and maintenance records and processes
* Staying updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and safety standards.
* Assisting during demos, training, conferences, networking events, and exhibitions. Some interstate travel required.
What will you need to succeed?
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with valid work authorisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
* At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical/Electronics Technician or similar role conducting product testing and assembly
* Strong knowledge of concepts, principles and practices (hands-on) of Electrical and Electronics systems
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools and electronic testing equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides.
* High proficiency in soldering – through hole
* Certificate III or above in Electrical/Electronic or similar
* Proficiency in using Electrical CAD software
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
* Driver's license
Desirables:
* PCB design skills
* Familiarity with Microsoft Visio
* Experience with Arduino or similar microcontrollers
* Experience with Raspberry Pi or similar single board computers.
* High proficiency in soldering – surface mount
