Project Overview
Bechtel is providing a wide variety of project and contract management services in Western Australia to support capital works programmes in aviation, defence, and energy infrastructure.
Job Summary
You will report to the Program Construction Manager – Landside and monitor contractor compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Major Responsibilities
* Planning / Productivity
o Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas and technical representatives to ensure program delivery priorities.
o Review all contractor submittals including schedules, costs, reports, and changes.
o Coordinate data for reports and forecasts, including construction progress and expenditure forecasts.
o Support and assist internal stakeholders regarding onsite project‐related activities and logistics.
* Safety & Quality
o Actively monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and encourage safe performance.
o Monitor work activities and the quality of work performed by the contractor.
o Coordinate service providers for technical inspections of the contractor's work.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in the successful management of major construction industry projects.
* Experience in airport projects or projects with substantial road and services interfaces.
* Knowledge of related construction practices and economics, and current methods of design and construction.
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrable delivery of leadership and behavioural change within large organisations and with outside organisations.
* Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining commercial awareness.
* Prior delivery partner or client‐side project management experience is preferred but not essential.
