We're teaming up once again with the brilliant crew at Nexvia - this time to find a mid-level PHP Developer ready to help power their next big chapter of growth.
And trust us, it's an exciting one.
Nexvia has just been acquired by Felix (ASX: FLX), giving this already impressive Brisbane scale-up a powerful springboard to accelerate expansion. Together, they're merging Felix's procurement marketplace with Nexvia's project delivery ERP - creating one of the most complete construction platforms on the market.
Translation: there's a ton to build, and even more to be excited about.
The platform? Huge. (Think: a full-blown Procore alternative.)
The team? Lean but mighty.
The roadmap? Absolutely packed.
If you're ready to punch above your weight and leave a big mark as part of a tight-knit engineering crew - this one's for you
What you'll be doing:
You'll dive straight into Nexvia's core construction management platform - a big, complex, battle-tested system with serious depth under the hood.
It's not greenfield, but there's plenty of scope. You'll be shaping new features, rolling out smart and incremental upgrades, and tackling the kind of juicy backend challenges that keep you sharp and the work exciting.
You'll get your hands on:
* Backend development in PHP (Symfony 1.0)
* Database design and optimisation (MySQL)
* Feature scoping, implementation and integration
* Bug fixing, maintenance and iterative improvement
And don't worry - you won't just be stuck grinding through tickets with no context. You'll be part of the bigger picture, learning the system from the inside out, trusted to think critically, and encouraged to contribute ideas that move the product forward.
What we're looking for:
This is a mid-level role, but we're open to a range of experience as long as you've got a solid PHP foundation, a collaborative attitude, and the curiosity to dig into a big, complex domain - you'll be right at home here.
What matters most:
* Solid PHP chops (framework experience a must - Symfony a bonus, but not a dealbreaker)
* Exposure to relational databases (MySQL or similar)
* Hands-on experience with backend-heavy, data-driven applications
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
* Bonus points if you know the construction space - but it's definitely not a requirement
Keen? We'd love to hear from you Here's how you'll Fynd us:
