Business Development Manager – Modular Switchboard Systems (QLD)

Location: Banyo, Brisbane
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Super + Fully Maintained Vehicle + Bonus

Our client is a leading supplier and distributor of modular switchboard systems, supporting commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Australia. With a strong reputation for engineering quality, reliability, and service, the company is investing heavily in the Queensland market and strengthening its local presence. They are now seeking an experienced and technically confident Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market share.

This role is ideal for an experienced Board Builder ready to step into a client‑facing role, or a Business Development professional from the electrical, switchboard, or industrial sector looking to join a company with a strong culture and a significant growth agenda.


The Opportunity

* Identify, develop, and convert key clients to the company's modular switchboard range.
* Use your technical expertise to design and specify compliant, cost‑effective solutions.
* Cross‑sell supporting and complementary electrical products to increase share of wallet.
* Maintain strong field activity, completing 8–10 client visits per week across South‑East Queensland.
* Use the company CRM to manage opportunities, track pipeline progress, and ensure accurate reporting.
* Work closely with your regional teammate to enhance customer experience and market presence.
* Demonstrate full commitment to the company's growth strategy and exhibit professional habits that reflect initiative, discipline, and accountability.


What We're Looking For

* Previous board‑building experience, ideally with modular systems.
* Strong understanding of AS61439, AS3000, and QLD MIRs.
* Background in switchboard design, estimation, and project liaison.
* Proven success in technical sales or business development roles.
* Experience with CRM platforms and structured pipeline management.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time‑management skills.
* A proactive, commercially minded professional who enjoys building relationships and solving customer problems.

* Consistent weekly client activity and a healthy, well‑managed pipeline.
* Growth in modular switchboard sales across Queensland.
* Strong technical credibility and trust with customers and partners.
* Year‑on‑year increases in revenue, gross margin, and market share.

* Base salary of $110,000 – $130,000 + Super.
