At TasNetworks, we're more than poles and wires — we're people connecting communities to a brighter future. As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you'll lead programs that strengthen our relationships with Tasmanians, promote safety, and advance reconciliation across the State.
This is an outward-facing role where you'll plan, coordinate and deliver community initiatives that make a real impact — from driving our Electrical Safety in Schools Program to leading our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). You'll work closely with schools, community groups and internal teams to bring these programs to life.
What you'll do
* Coordinate community initiatives and ensure programs are delivered on time and on target.
* Lead the RAP Working Group and drive Aboriginal engagement and reconciliation.
* Recruit, train and support volunteer presenters with engaging materials and resources.
* Track KPIs and report outcomes to demonstrate program success.
* Represent TasNetworks at schools and community events as the face of our engagement programs.
* Manage program budgets and prepare regular updates for the Sustainability Committee
The role can be based at any TasNetworks office statewide, with travel to schools and events where required.
About you
You're proactive, organised and passionate about creating positive community outcomes. You'll also have:
* Confidence engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong project management and coordination skills.
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
* Understanding of reconciliation principles and community engagement.
* A proactive, collaborative and people-focused approach.
* Current driver's licence and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Employment) - we can assist with this if not currently held.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, connection and purpose. You'll see the direct impact of your work in classrooms and communities across Tasmania — helping children stay safe, building relationships that matter, and shaping a more inclusive future.
