The Role
Reporting to our Site Manager, Townsville Port & PDC in this role you will understand key priorities and report on performance relative to the daily plan. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers and customers and will proactively organise production and maintenance windows.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Sound and proven experience with Southern Cross safety, environmental and production management practices
* Emotional intelligence, who can adapt to different personalities.
* Problem solving abilities
* High level of demonstrated safety performance on site
* Proficient in use of computer applications including: the Microsoft suite of products
* Sound knowledge of SAP operating system or equivalent
* Hold current mobile equipment tickets/ certifications/ competencies including, Front End Loader Ticket and Excavator Ticket.
This pivotal role will require a motivated individual with a strong desire to deliver against objectives and progress within our organisation, be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results. Your ability to develop and manage customer relationships coupled with production and product knowledge will see you thrive in this dynamic environment.
What You'll Bring
The Shift Team Leader position will be responsible for supervising the day to day activities that are set by the site supervisor within the Townsville Port. You will be responsible for activities in the areas of safety, people, customer, environment, production, reliability and cost - with the aim of achieving Operational Excellence focused on continuous improvement.

Our Townsville team is an integral part of our company's Northern Operations distribution network, ensuring our products are received and distributed for local and international markets via Business Partners and the Townsville Port facility.
