About the Role
As the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting the organisation's technology environment. This role focuses on ensuring that cloud and on‐premises infrastructure is architected and operated in a reliable, secure, and scalable manner to meet current and future business needs. The position plays a key role in maintaining high availability, performance, and resilience across platforms, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer also provides technical leadership, contributes to solution design, supports incident resolution, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with organisational standards, security requirements, and strategic objectives. We're Looking For
* Technical Capability: Lead DevOps in cloud environments, focusing on automation, CI/CD, and cloud‐native solutions. Advise on new DevOps trends to keep infrastructure agile and scalable. Experience with IaC and automation tools is highly valued.
* Project Management: Serve as a vital contributor in planning and executing cloud infrastructure projects, offering guidance that supports the team's adaptability and ensures alignment with Government and the Premier's Department cloud strategies.
* Stakeholder Leadership: Demonstrates proficiency in influencing, collaborating effectively, and resolving incidents within a team environment.
* Autonomy: Works independently with minimal supervision, manages priorities effectively, and takes initiative to resolve issues and improve processes.
Salary
Classification Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($129,464 - $142,665) plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
