We, Willow workspaces and Fulfillment, are seeking a Computer Network and System Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support our organisation's network and systems infrastructure. This role involves researching and evaluating network architecture, analysing system design specifications, and recommending strategies to enhance performance, security, and reliability. You will be responsible for planning, deploying, testing, and optimising network and system services across varied operating environments, while ensuring full configuration management and operational readiness.

The position also includes installing and maintaining network hardware and software, monitoring traffic and capacity, diagnosing faults, and responding to technical issues and emergencies. You will prepare and maintain detailed documentation, support end users, and ensure that all network systems operate at optimal performance levels. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong analytical capabilities, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work across multiple platforms and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture, Analysis & Development

* Research, analyse, and evaluate network architecture and infrastructure to recommend improvements and strategies.
* Analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system design specifications, architecture diagrams, and data models.
* Plan, design, develop, deploy, test, and optimise network and system services across diverse platforms.
* Take responsibility for configuration management and ensuring operational readiness of network systems.

Network Implementation & Maintenance

* Install, configure, test, maintain, and administer new and upgraded networks, servers, software, database applications, and workstations.
* Configure and maintain network hardware, software, communication components, and integrated systems.
* Assess and recommend enhancements to network operations, hardware, software, and operating systems.
* Provide network programming support based on specific business requirements.

Monitoring, Performance & Security

* Monitor network traffic, activity, usage, and capacity to ensure continuous integrity and optimal performance.
* Optimise network performance through regular maintenance, tuning, and system analysis.
* Ensure networks are configured to operate at maximum efficiency, stability, and security.

Troubleshooting & Support

* Provide specialist skills for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex network issues and emergencies.
* Deliver end-user support, including identifying problems, implementing solutions, and preventing future faults.
* Respond to incidents promptly and ensure effective resolution to minimise downtime.

Documentation & Procedures

* Prepare, update, and maintain network documentation, including system configurations, inventory records, maintenance instructions, and fault logs.
* Record diagnoses, solutions, system enhancements, and modifications to ensure accurate change history.
* Maintain detailed procedures for network operations, configurations, and maintenance workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, IT, Systems Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and communication systems.
* Experience with server administration (Windows, Linux, cloud platforms).
* Proven ability to interpret technical architecture specifications and troubleshoot complex issues.
* Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

* CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent industry certifications.
* Experience or ready to explore with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
* Familiarity with network monitoring tools, automation scripts, and backup technologies.
