Role
As a Japanese cuisine cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, traditional Japanese dishes.
Responsibilities
 * Develop innovative food offerings, provide feedback and ideas to the chefs and restaurant managers, and assist in designing seasonal menus and dishes
 * Take full responsibility for preparation, portioning, seasoning, cooking, and presentation of meals; monitor quality at all stages
 * Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items including sushi, sashimi, and hot dishes in a timely manner; plate presentation
 * Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance
 * May train kitchen staff and apprentices
Qualifications
 * Excellent knife skills with the ability to expertly cut and fillet
 * Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
 * Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
 * Relevant Diploma in Hospitality Management and/or commercial cookery
 * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
 * The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
 * A passion for Japanese/Asian culinary excellence and creativity
