Eligibility to Apply:

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile:
Assists with the management of local level planning, implementation and review of a range of Aboriginal health initiatives including strategic partnerships and policy advice and workforce and community engagement to close the gap in Aboriginal health disadvantage in accordance with key WA Health and WA Country Health Service (WACHS) policies and strategic directions.
Area Profile:
WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health and support staff.
