About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a residential care worker in Mount Gambier. This role will involve providing quality care, support, and supervision to children and young people with complex trauma-related behaviors.
* We require an individual who can work effectively with the Manager/s and other members of our team to create a positive and supportive living environment.
* This position involves managing risk and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and reporting incidents, hazards, and injuries in accordance with ac.care policy and legislative requirements.
* As a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing opportunities for children and young people to experience success and reach their full potential.
* We need someone who can communicate effectively and contribute to the development of quality Home Based Care programs that meet the needs of our clients.
We also require an individual who can maintain accurate records, including daily observations and information about the individual needs, activities, and daily presentation of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing quality care and support to children and young people in a way that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
2. Maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including preparing and cooking meals, doing laundry, and performing household duties.
3. Developing and implementing individualized plans to support the rehabilitation and reintegration into the community of children and young people.
4. Working collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
