About the opportunity

The Senior Insights Analyst is a pivotal role within the International Student Recruitment team, responsible for enabling a data-driven approach to recruitment strategy and planning. This position will ensure that both international and domestic recruitment activities are informed by robust analytics, with a focus on growing and stabilising international student numbers.

What you'll do:

* Lead the development and implementation of policy and institutional targets to monitor, evaluate, and enhance recruitment strategies for both international and domestic markets.
* Provide timely, actionable insights and forecasts to support recruitment planning, market and product prioritisation, and resource allocation.
* Deliver analysis that informs whole-of-university budget planning and forecasting, ensuring recruitment and marketing investments align with strategic objectives.
* Evaluate and optimise the return on investment for all marketing and recruitment activities.
* Collaborate with recruitment, marketing, admissions and other internal teams to ensure data is integrated into all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle.­

What we're looking for:

* Extensive experience in complex data analysis, interpretation, and visualization to inform strategic decision-making, ideally within higher education or international recruitment contexts.
* Advanced proficiency in analytics and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) to design and deliver sophisticated reporting solutions.
* Deep understanding of global student recruitment trends, market intelligence, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to apply this knowledge to shape strategy and operational priorities.
* Capability to synthesize and model large, multi-source datasets, translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders through clear, accessible reporting.
* Demonstrated experience in predictive analytics, forecasting, and the development of performance frameworks and KPIs to drive recruitment and marketing effectiveness.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
