RPS design presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate senior urban designer or urban designer with a focus on new communities, urban centres, and regeneration to join the team. Our urban design team is growing and we are searching for talented designers with an architectural, landscape or planning background and a passion for good design and curiosity to innovate.
What You'll Do
* Lead and deliver design projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest quality of design outcomes and client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the Technical Director – Urban Design and a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative, practical and sustainable design solutions.
* Engage with clients, consultants and approval authorities to progress projects and strengthen long‐term partnerships.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning‐focused design culture.
* Contribute to business development and project acquisition through networking, presentations and fee proposals.
What You'll Bring
* A degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning or similar.
* 3‐8 years' experience in urban design within the public or private sector.
* Strong understanding of land development, planning principles and relevant South East Queensland legislation.
* Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Excellent communication and visual presentation skills.
* A creative, adaptable and team‐oriented approach.
* An Australian driver's licence.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full‐time work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this role).
