We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for South Bunbury Education Support Centre (ESC) and College Row School. We are looking to fill permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
Teachers at South Bunbury ESC and College Row School assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs. Suitable applicants will ideally have highly effective teaching practices, an ability to self-reflect and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. We are seeking applicants who are ideally hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in all areas.
Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. Suitable applicants should be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning, and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning.
Teachers in an Education Support environment positively manage a team of Education Assistants to create a safe and supportive learning environment for students. They engage with and contribute to the school community and work collaboratively with families, therapists, and outside agencies to improve student outcomes.
South Bunbury Education Support Centre
South Bunbury ESC is a specialist setting which caters to the needs of students with a diagnoses of Intellectual Disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder with high educational need.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
