An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Senior Accountant to join a globally backed, high-volume retail business on the Gold Coast operating across multiple sites in a fast‐paced environment. This role offers genuine exposure to operations, senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to influence decision‐making.
The Opportunity
Reporting to a highly experienced Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insights, and operational support across a complex retail network. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with operations to provide meaningful financial insights and performance analysis
* Lead month‐end processes including P&L preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reporting
* Deliver timely and accurate reporting to support commercial decision making
* Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management activities
* Oversee fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals
* Ensure compliance with tax obligations (including BAS)
* Support payroll reporting in collaboration with internal stakeholders
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance tracking
* Partner with auditors and support audit processes
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
* Experience in accounting, ideally within retail, FMCG, or hospitality environments
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into insights
* Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems (SAP highly regarded)
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage non‐finance stakeholders
* Comfortable operating in a fast‐paced, multi‐site environment
