Overview
Software Developer role at MFT Energy. The position is based in Noosa, Australia, within the Australia Power Trading team. You will design, develop, and maintain sophisticated applications using Python, React, and SQL to support traders and energy market decisions.
Responsibilities
* Building front-end tools, internal apps, and web dashboards.
* Creating robust data pipelines and ETL processes for analytics and reporting.
* Developing and operationalizing predictive and statistical models to support decision-making.
* Collaborating with colleagues in APAC and Europe to coordinate software initiatives.
* Automating workflows and processes to improve efficiency for traders and system responsiveness.
Technical skills
* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
* 2+ years of software development experience
* Proficiency in Python and C# or similar
* DevOps experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure
* Experience writing unit tests and using testing frameworks
* Experience with Git and distributed systems
* Understanding of Agile methodologies
* Strong SQL skills for data storage and retrieval
* Experience in creating and managing APIs
