**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the payroll team. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Advisor this role will ensure end to end payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner, including liaison with the Finance and Human Resources teams and directly with employees.
This is a Full-time permanent position on a 5/2 roster based at the West Perth office
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process monthly pay-runs, including liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate authorisation is in place.
- Assist with month-end payroll reporting
- Process superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax payments
- Monitor and process employee leave requests
- Maintaining accurate employee records in Connx. Including, but not limited to setting up and entering new employees and updating existing employee information when required
- Work in conjunction with the HR & Finance Teams to ensure data is correct and assist with ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Manage payroll queries in a professional, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure the Company is in compliance with payroll, taxation and superannuation legislation
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently both written and verbal communication
- High level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work well in team environments and with key stakeholders across the business
- Competent is MS office packages
- High degree of confidentiality
