Responsibilities

* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety at all times.

* Assist in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.

* Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to strict stock rotation and minimizing waste.

* Clean and maintain all equipment and working areas.
">
* Ensure that all food produced meets the highest quality and presentation standards.
">
* Store and handle food correctly in accordance with current regulations.
">
* Monitor daily kitchen requirements and advise the supervisor accordingly.

* Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as required.

Requirements
">
* A Commercial Cookery Qualification (Cert III or IV) is preferred.
">
* Previous experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
">
* Familiarity with Food Safety and WHS legislation is essential.
">
* Service-oriented with an eye for detail.

* Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.

* Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask.

* Availability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
