With strong senior leadership in place and a strong balance sheet, The Senior Design Manager will be an integral part of the wider team, liaising with key stakeholders whilst working alongside the delivery team to help bring a broad portfolio of projects to life from conception to completion. In addition to demonstrating a passion for design, the successful candidate will: Hold Tertiary qualifications in Design or Construction coupled with extensive experience in a Design Management role. Lead the design team from design development through to construction Display a strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficiencies construction strategies and methodologies through design. Plan and program the design process effectively to ensure all stakeholders act in a timely manner. Coordinate detailed design and documentation within specified timeframes. Evaluate any technical-based variations proposed from the construction team and provide recommendation to development team Possess an ability to identify and manage risk and ensure compliance obligations are met throughout the process and within design. It is expected that the successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider organisations objectives.
