About the Role:
The position of Release and Change Manager is critical to ensuring the smooth delivery of software releases and incident management within a complex, multi-instance environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating releases, overseeing testing and deployment, and managing the resolution of incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and schedule software releases, considering dependencies and risks
* Coordinate and orchestrate the release process, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed
* Oversee and facilitate the testing of software releases
* Manage the deployment of software releases to various environments (e.g., development, staging, production)
* Communicate release plans, schedules, and potential impacts to internal teams and stakeholders
* Monitor the performance and stability of released software
* Maintain comprehensive release documentation
* Identify opportunities for improving the release process, implementing best practices, and automating tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce risks
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Experience with release management in a complex, multi-instance environment
* Understanding of complex software solutions in regulated industries
* Experience working in Agile software environments and frequent release environments
* Experience managing IT incidents
