Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice
Full Time or Part Time (27–38 hours per week)

Wanneroo Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our established companion animal hospital in Perth's northern suburbs.
This role requires a veterinarian capable of managing a varied caseload independently, including advanced soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic procedures and in-house ultrasound examinations.

* Team of 8 veterinarians and 12 veterinary nurses

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine and complex small animal consultations
* Independently diagnose and manage medical cases
* Perform routine and more complex soft tissue surgical procedures without supervision
* Perform orthopaedic procedures, including cruciate ligament repair and medial patellar luxation surgery
* Perform in-house abdominal ultrasound examinations
* Perform routine dental procedures, including extractions
* Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records
* Communicate treatment plans and cost estimates clearly to clients
* Work collaboratively within a multi-veterinarian team
Essential Criteria
* Veterinary degree eligible for registration in Western Australia
* Full eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia
* Minimum 4 years' experience in small animal clinical practice
* Demonstrated competency in routine and complex soft tissue surgery
* Demonstrated experience performing cruciate ligament repair and medial patellar luxation surgery
* Competence in performing in-house abdominal ultrasound
* Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Remuneration
Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 per annum (pro rata), plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and demonstrated competency.
