Overview-Our federal client is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Solution Architect. As part of a motivated multi-disciplinary team, you will have the privilege of working in a highly supportive environment with the potential to impact millions in Australia.The successful candidate is required, but not limited to:Own and lead the end-to-end solution architecture for D365 application projectsProvide strategic input to enterprise architecture and technology investment directionDefine and document the architecture and solution design in line with Departmental practicesEnsure solution design is in alignment with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, D365 architectural standards, design principles, configuration-over-customisation guardrails, DevOps and security principlesProvide technical leadership to project delivery teams and contribute to multi-disciplinary agile ways of workingLead design workshops, architecture reviews and act as the accountable authority for technical design and solution integrityOversee and guide the development of applications/services on the D365 platform including data, security and compliance, data migration and integrationEvaluate and recommend new features, functions, tools and practices to enhance solution architectureDesign and plan integrations between Dynamics and enterprise platforms or third party solutionsProvide advice on technical issues and play an active role in mitigating technology risksWork with the enterprise architecture team to leverage (where applicable):Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelinesEnterprise architecture frameworks, patterns and technologiesGovernance arrangements around designParticipate in architecture group forums to align D365 projects with the broader frameworks and practices within the division.
Skills & Experience required:Support the delivery team in translating business needs and requirements into system specificationsContribute across all phases of projects (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test and Rollout)Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent solution deliveryDefine the Product Backlog Items (PBIs) including acceptance criteria for technical work packages and activitiesWork closely with the project team to ensure DevOps items are being managed to meet timeframes, timely development sprints are achieved and defects are resolvedWork in a fast-paced agile operating environment adopting delivery in sprintsCreate and update solution architecture artefacts such as architecture model, high level design, process maps and technical papersExcellent creative problem-solving skillsExperience working in an Agile and Iterative Development approachWork independently in complex situations with a pragmatic approach to allocated work, demonstrating commitment to project outcomesDemonstrated ability to produce high quality, concise, easy to read and relevant documentation for digital services that may include user research, service design, architecture and analysis documentation.

Weighting1.In-depth knowledge, expertise and demonstrated experience in delivering the architecture and design for new and existing applications within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience providing architectural leadership and guidance throughout project delivery and acting as the technical lead for the D365 development team3.Proven ability to act as the technical authority and achieve strategic balance between technical optimisation and business considerations to provide practical, scalable and robust solution designs adhering to architectural principles.4.Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail, organise competing priorities, progress multiple deliverables in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Desirable criteriaWeighting1.Qualifications and certifications in D365, enterprise architecture frameworks and agile delivery.2.Experience working in solution delivery involving COTS products, configuration and customisation of OOTB features, data migration and working in solutions involving document review capabilities and integration of third party tools with Dynamics.4.Experience working in federal government projects and initiatives.
