Global Engagement Adviser role at Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)
Austrade is Australia's global trade and investment agency, connecting Australian businesses with the world and attracting foreign investment into Australia. We're a dynamic and purpose driven organisation, playing a vital role in shaping Australia's economic future. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join as the Global Engagement Adviser providing critical support to Austrade’s global health team.
You will be assisting with planning, coordination and project work to delivering high quality industry insights, identification and triaging of exporter needs and events. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate client pipeline management, effective service delivery, and strong stakeholder relationships to advance Australia’s trade and investment goals.
This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively across teams, manage competing priorities, and contribute to Austrade’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the team on strategic projects, including and not limited to events, client management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, logistics and other operational activities to ensure successful delivery of our initiatives.
- Support proactive engagement with clients, including coordinating meetings, responding to enquiries, and contributing to tailored service delivery that aligns with Austrade’s strategic priorities. Flexibility to support delivery of priorities across the Trade Division
- Perform secondary research for statistical and/or research reports for internal or external consumption. This may include contributing to market assessments for clients.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of client account records, leads and opportunities. This includes effective use of CRM System, SharePoint and other digital tools to manage workflow and information sharing.
- Assisting with rapport building with internal and external stakeholders including liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve moderately complex issues. This may also include representing Austrade at internal and external meetings and conferences.
- Confidently use digital workplace tools to solve problems, be productive, connect and collaborate with others.

Eligibility

- Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
