About the role
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial Manager in the management of this territory-wide defence contract covering multiple bases. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all commercial activities are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing, reviewing, and submitting contract change proposals (CCPs), ensuring all changes are accurately documented, justified, and approved in a timely manner.
* Maintaining and organising all contract-related documentation, including amendments, correspondence, and records of negotiations.
* Ensuring that all contract terms and conditions are adhered to and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Assisting in tracking contract-related financials, including budgets, expenditures, and invoicing.
* Preparing regular reports on contract performance and highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
* Acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries and issues.
* Identifying potential risks related to contract execution and propose mitigation strategies.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* 3 years of experience in contract administration or a related field, preferably within the defence sector.
* Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and defence industry standards.
* Proficiency in using contract management software and MS Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
* Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
* Cert IV in Business Admin or Diploma in Business Operations would be highly regarded.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
