We are looking for a new part time BIM Modeller/Services Designer to help with our growing Digital Engineering workload.
3DS Group is an Established Digital Engineering Services Company and searching for an individual interested in working on all facets of building services design and drafting – Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC & Fire Services.
We are based in Canberra, but are working on Projects all over NSW, VIC, QLD and recently WA, as well as many prominent projects here in Canberra.
We have also ventured out into 3D scanning, Augmented and Virtual Reality and BIM Modelling.
We are looking for motivated applicants with Experience with REVIT/AUTOCAD and are interested in taking their experience to the highest levels the industry can offer.
2 - 3 years Experience with Revit, Building Services Coordination, and mechanical services is highly valued for potential applicants.
As a minimum 2 - 3 years Experience with Revit is required.
Successful Applicants would be looking at May 2026 start at the earliest.
The role is noted at part time, with actual hours to be 20 hours as a minimum.
The day by day split of those 20 hours would be negotiated at the interview stage, but would suited particularly to work around school hours (9am-3pm). This role is not locked to part time permanently, there is plenty of opportunity inside the business to move into other services roles, as well as full time roles.
Noted Salary is based on a full time role, to be prorated once terms have been agreed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Liaise with internal team and clients.
-Work with out team to produce building services design layouts through to workshop drawings for manufacturing. (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire)
-Coordinate with others to achieve dynamic and accurate drawings/3D Models.
Apply Engineering principles to design and modelling of construction projects.
-Support production partners and clients to ensure quality & direction met.
Key attributes:
ESSENTIAL: Competent Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit User (Experience in both is highly valued).
- Solid understanding of engineering and construction drawings.
-Capable of interpreting Australian and manufacturing standards
be able to Maintain a high quality output
-Australian Passport/Citizenship
-Good communications skills.
-Knowledge of MS Office suit.
