The Australian Hotels Association (WA) requires a full-time Accounts Assistant to join our team located in West Perth. This role provides extensive variety in a dynamic working environment.
The AHA is the representative association for Western Australia’s hotel and hospitality industry - pubs, bars, hotels, resorts and restaurants.As such, this role has many exciting benefits and opportunities.
Assisting the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable and Payable functions of the organisation, as well as assist with various operations of the Association, in particular:
Accounts Receivable - invoicing and following up overdue accounts
Accounts Payable – data processing, reconciling, payments
Banking and credit card reconciliations
Assisting with preparation of Budgets, BAS, FBT, month and year end reporting as well as other accounting functions
Assist with other projects and duties as required.
This busy and varied role requires an individual with the ability to work to strict deadlines and follow procedures with attention to detail. A working knowledge of MYOB, MS Word and Excel are essential.
You will ideally have at least 2 years experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills and abilities. A minimum certificate-level qualification in Bookkeeping or Accounting is preferred, but not essential.
