About the Role
* We are currently seeking a supervisor to join our team at the hospital and mental health centre in Newcastle, AU. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the catering operation and team, with a focus on food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
* Implement and monitor food safety and infection control protocols.
* Monitor food quality and service, particularly in the mental health centre.
* Manage the catering roster and accurately record payroll data.
* Effectively communicate and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
* Maintain patient/customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
* Monitor stock and waste control processes.
* Facilitate staff training and development opportunities.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a supervisory role.
* Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery qualification (or equivalent).
* Proven people management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Solution-focused approach with attention to detail.
* Excellent administrative skills and large team rostering experience.
* Audit experience within a healthcare environment.
