Job Description
Volunteer Companion Opportunity – Bensville
A lovely lady in Bensville is looking for someone who enjoys good conversation, a relaxed outing, and the occasional chat about her much-loved guinea pigs.
She lives on her own and prefers getting out and about rather than having visitors at home, so this role is all about sharing simple outings and good company.
Things she enjoys:
* Coffee and a chat
* Live music (her absolute favourite!)
* Trips to the cinema
* Nature walks
Bonus points if you appreciate guinea pig stories and believe animals make life better.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
