Apprentice Fitter Machinist Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills and trade of a qualified Fitter Machinist, working alongside experienced tradesmen and engineers.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of mechanical repairs, including gearboxes, pumps, and brakes. They will also learn how to dismantle, clean, assess and measure parts, as well as operate equipment such as lathes, mills and slotter machines.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
* Workshop-based mechanical repairs
* Dismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring parts
* Machining - Lathe, Mill, Slotter
* Cleaning of the workshop
* On-site work
* Workshop deliveries (local area)
* Assisting with maintaining workshop equipment
* Sand blasting and spray painting
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
* A positive attitude to learn in the workplace
* A high level of mechanical aptitude
* The ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal
* The ability to operate equipment and systems
* A current Driver's Licence
