* Own and scale a business as if it were your own, without carrying the personal risk
* Step into a true GM seat with autonomy, authority and a clear growth runway
* Build something meaningful alongside a driven founder, not inside a corporate machine
This is a hands-on General Manager role for someone who wants real ownership, not a title. The business is a growing industrial services operation entering its next phase of expansion. It is lean, founder-led and moving quickly, with a clear opportunity to scale materially over the next few years if executed well.
The role is about taking full control of day-to-day operations, building the right team, putting structure and systems in place, and running the business like a well-oiled machine. Quality is non-negotiable. Reputation matters. This is not a role for someone who avoids detail or waits for direction - it requires judgement, decisiveness and a bias to action.
You will be expected to get into the trenches when required, solve problems as they arise, make hard people decisions, and remove bottlenecks that slow the business down. Industry background is flexible, but mechanical credibility is essential. You must be able to engage confidently with operational leaders and understand how things work without needing everything explained.
Essential is your proven track record of leadership of revenue and team growth in a heavy industry setting. This will suit someone who has helped scale a business before; we will want proof that you can clearly articulate your role in that growth, and that you are motivated by building something substantial rather than inheriting something finished. In return, you will be given genuine autonomy, trust and the chance to grow alongside the business with meaningful upside over time.
If you are looking for a GM role with real ownership, pace, accountability and a genuine growth story ahead of it, this is one worth exploring. Apply now, or to make a confidential enquiry, contact Brian Briscoe through *******@briscoesearch.com.au or 9401 8080. Applications close 11th February.
