About The Role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Case Worker to provide efficient day-to-day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment. This is a full-time position based in Fountaindale, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4.

Responsibilities

* Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
* Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.
* Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high‐quality services.
* Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
* Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.

Qualifications

* A current NSW Driver Licence.
* A minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
* Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
* At least two years' experience in recovery, if applicable.
* Demonstrated the ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de‐escalation techniques.
* Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions.
* Demonstrated strong administrative, time‐management and communication skills.
* Knowledge of AOD, mental health, community services and health sectors.
* Sound computer literacy.
* The ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
* The ability to develop and tailor programmes to meet participants' needs.
* Experience providing brief intervention and harm minimisation information and support to individuals.
* Experience working in collaboration with other organisations.
