We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Support Worker/Carer to join our team. As a support worker, you will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, recreational pursuits, and personal care for an individual with quadriplegia.
About the Role
* Live in close proximity to Shoalwater/Rockingham
* Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
* Be flexible and able to cover shifts when other support workers are unavailable
Daily Responsibilities
1. Morning assistance with personal care and activities of daily living:
o Transferring the individual in and out of bed or chair using a hoist and/or slide transfer method
o Assisting with showering and toileting: bowel and urinary care using suppositories and catheters
o Aiding with dressing and preparing breakfast
o Providing assistance with exercises
2. Evening assistance with transferring the individual into bed
3. Occasional participation in recreational activities such as swimming, kayaking, sailing, and surfing, as well as transporting the individual to appointments
