About the Opportunity
Noosa Council is seeking a motivated and customer‐focused Gallery Assistant to support the daily operations, exhibitions, and programs of the Noosa Regional Gallery. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic arts environment and help deliver meaningful cultural experiences to the community.
Key Responsibilities
The Gallery Assistant will:
* Provide professional and welcoming customer service to all visitors
* Assist with exhibition installation, deinstallation, and presentation
* Support the delivery of gallery programs, workshops, and events
* Perform routine reception and administrative duties
* Help maintain safe, high‐quality, and engaging gallery spaces
* Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
* Experience in galleries, museums, arts organisations, or customer‐facing roles
* An understanding of gallery operations and contemporary arts practice
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work effectively in a team and show initiative
* Confidence using digital tools and software suited to gallery operations
* C Class Driver Licence
* Current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to work across Council locations when required
* Willingness to undertake standard pre‐employment checks
