The Role – 1st Year Apprentice Boilermaker
Safe use of hand tools, grinders, and workshop equipment
Basic MIG, FCAW (Inner Shield), and Stick welding techniques
Weld preparation, grinding, and clean-up
Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings
Assisting with heavy Fabrication
Plate handling and workshop housekeeping
Working to AS/NZS 1554 quality requirements (under supervision)
Workshop safety and quality procedures
What You'll Be Learning

About You
* Genuine interest in becoming a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
* Mechanically minded with good hand skills
* Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
* Willing to learn and take direction from tradespeople
* Good attitude toward safety and quality
* Physically fit and capable of manual work
* Driver's Licence preferred but not essential
Highly Regarded
* Previous workshop, trade assistant, or pre-apprenticeship experience
* Basic welding exposure at school or TAFE
* Forklift ticket (LF)
* Experience using grinders or hand tools
