Your new role
As a Civil Project Manager, you will take full accountability for the end-to-end delivery of complex civil projects across Defence and Government frameworks. You will be responsible for managing scope, program, commercial outcomes, safety, and stakeholder relationships while operating in a highly regulated and security-cleared environment.This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, client expectations, and Defence/Government assurance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
1. End-to-end project management of complex civil works from planning through to handover
2. Acting as Head Contractor representative under GC21 contracts
3. Managing program, cost, quality, and risk to achieve commercial and contractual outcomes
4. Leading multidisciplinary site and project teams
5. Engaging effectively with Government, Defence, consultants, and subcontractors
6. Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality, environmental, and security requirements
7. Driving a strong safety-first and risk-aware culture
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects as a Project Manager
9. Strong working knowledge of GC21 / AS2124 contracts and Head Contractor responsibilities
10. Experience working on Defence and/or Government projects (highly desirable)
11. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
12. Strong commercial acumen and contract administration capability
13. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
