Sharp and Carter are working in partnership with a leading and renowned brand that are seeking to employ an outstanding IT Infrastructure and Centre Support Technician. This ASX listed organisation have a reputation for providing outstanding care and education via a number of their well known brands.
The role
The role is responsible for designing, planning, co-ordinating and continuously improving IT operational activities and processes associated with IT infrastructure including device hardware, Managed Operating Environments (Desktop and Mobile MOE), corporate systems such as Audio Visual and Zoom, Telecommunications services, IT standards and Service Delivery for centres and Support Offices. Accountable for day-to-day delivery of effective coordination and change management of IT partners whilst minimising impact to business operations,
Main Duties
- Closely work with IT Leadership team in designing, testing, and deploying IT standards and policies to Managed Operating Environments and assets via remote management tools.
- Analysing and making recommendations/decisions against the established and well communicated hardware standards and MOE for centres and support Office
- Execution, delivery, and oversight of vendor associated projects and initiatives
- Transition projects after completion to BAU support model
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) Pilots, testing associated with MOE, System changes and Asset Management and standards
- Assist in identifying of assets refresh and coordinating large hardware deployment activities and associated communications
- Assist in Identifying, designing, coordinating, and executing various IT Operations improvement projects and initiatives
- Scheduling, communication, and co-ordination of asset management related activities with all stakeholders: Centres, Remote Hands and procurement partners, Managed Service Providers and internal G8 communications team
- Assist IT Operations manager in designing, developing, and maintaining project deliverables and reporting to prioritise hardware refresh programs and drive improvements for centres
- Oversee and manage vendors ensuring effective and best practice methodologies are being adhered to regarding asset management and associated processes - Measure, monitor and report on agreed KPI's to ensure strategies are effective and meet or exceed targets
Required Skills and Experience:
- Enterprise level experience and understanding of key IT concepts associated with working in a large, distributed environment
- 3+ years' experience in managing IT and partners responsible for mobile device management, managed operating environments, SDWAN, hosting services, and SaaS platforms
- Previous hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure/AD and group policies, MDM systems such as JAMF and Microsoft Device Manger/Intune
- Understanding and knowledge of key IT concepts and standards with IT Asset Management, Managed Operating Environments, Mobile Device Management, and Azure/AD group policies and management
