Warehouse Assistant
CARAC, an iconic and well-established retailer of Caravan, Trailer & Camping Parts & Accessories, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Warehouse Assistant to join their Dandenong South team, working with our Warehouse Manager.
This is a newly created role with the opportunity to grow and develop within the business. This role could be, but is not limited to, new school leavers.
The working week is Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm.
The daily functioning of the warehouse
· Receiving stock from suppliers.
· Receipting the stock accurately by manual count/check and inputting the correct information into the computer system.
· Perform pick-ups from local supplier warehouses, using a company vehicle.
· Packaging/labelling products appropriate for retail display.
· Making contact with the customer to advise them on receipt of any customer orders and managing the customer order tracking system.
· Assisting the online team with picking of orders.
· Other general warehouse activities, including good housekeeping, and forklift maintenance/checks.
· Adhere to all Occupation Health and Safety requirements and enforce safety requirements when others enter the warehouse.
Experience Required
· Current drivers license
· Current forklift license (not essential as this can be gained whilst at Carac)
· Excellent literacy, numeracy and computer skills
· Ability to work as part of a small team
· A good level of fitness
· Excellent communication and problem solving skills
· First class customer service
· Experience as a Storeperson will be looked upon favorably, however not essential.

· Previous warehouse experience is not essential - training will be provided.
· Forklift experience or a license is an advantage, however not essential before starting.
