This is not a job for everyone.

This is for someone who wants to help build something – from early‐stage ambiguity to a category‐defining outcome.

At Plerion, we're building a world‐class cloud + AI security company out of Australia. That alone should tell you something about the ambition here. Not many cyber companies do this successfully from this part of the world – and even fewer get to meaningful scale or exit. We think we can. Our founders have successfully exited a previous cloud security venture in 2019 and have again built a world class team. The real question is: do you want to be part of it?

The opportunity

You'll be the technical "closer".

The person customers trust when things get complex.

The bridge between deep cloud security problems and clear, confident buying decisions.

You'll partner tightly with our Account Executives in Sydney & Singapore to:

* Understand customer challenges
* Deliver appropriate solutions
* Run compelling technical conversations
* Prove value fast
* Help win deals where credibility, clarity, and confidence matter
* Leave no stone unturned to deliver successful outcomes

This is early‐stage, high‐impact work. There's minimal brand awareness, finite resources, and ambitious targets – but also enormous opportunity to shape how Plerion scales the technical pre‐sales function over time.

And if we execute? This role Trek does not stay small.

Who this is for

* Has strong cloud and/or cyber security experience (this matters a lot)
* Has worked close to sales – ideally in pre‐sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting
* Understands that early‐stage selling is scrappy, extremely fast moving, and requires judgment, not scripts
* Enjoys working with hungry AEs and being in the deal, not behind the scenes
* Wants to build something – not just support it

You are:

* Technically credible and commercially curious
* Calm under pressure in front of customers
* Able to explain complex problems simply and persuasively
* Comfortable operating without perfect processes or endless enablement
* Motivated by impact, ownership, and long‐term upside
* Startup experience is a big plus. If you've helped scale something before, you already know why this matters.

What you'll be doing

* Partnering with AEs on net‐new, and sometimes complex opportunities
* Running technical demos, ksity discussions? Actually architecture discussions, designing workflows & helping customers achieve better cyber outcomes
* Helping customers understand their cloud security risks – and why Plerion matters
* Supporting proof‐of‐value and trial engagements
* Feeding customer and field insight back into product and GTM
* Helping define what "great" looks like for Sales Engineering at Plerion
* Your judgment, creativity, and technical instincts will directly influence revenue & the overall success of the business.

The growth path (this is important)

If we're successful – and that's the goal – this role can grow well beyond Sydney.

There is a clear opportunity to:

* Expand into an ASEAN‐wide Sales Engineer role
* Help open and scale new & early markets such as Singapore and the US
* Become a foundational technical leader as the company globalises
