About Our Restaurant
We specialize in traditional Mandi rice dishes, slow-cooked meats, and broaster-style chicken. Our restaurant is committed to delivering freshly prepared, flavourful meals to our local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook authentic Mandi rice dishes, lamb, chicken, fish, and broaster chicken items according to recipes.
* Ensure all food is cooked and presented to a high standard of quality, taste, and consistency.
* Plan and organize food preparation and kitchen operations efficiently during busy service times.
* Monitor food portions and presentation to maintain menu consistency.
* Manage and maintain stock levels, including ordering and storing ingredients correctly.
* Evaluate food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations.
* Train and supervise kitchen helpers and junior staff when required.
* Adapt recipes and cooking methods to meet customer preferences and dietary needs.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.
Qualification: Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery.
Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern/Indian cooking styles (especially Mandi and fried chicken) will be highly regarded.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
A team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
