**The role**: 
**We are currently looking for a motivated Lifestyle Assistant to join the supportive and friendly team at St Brigid's Green Aged Care located in Maroubra on a Full time basis.**: 
**Lifestyle Assistants have the best job in the world! You are responsible for enhancing the quality of life for our residents by designing, planning and implementing lifestyle and wellness programs within our residential aged care home.**: 
**Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will assess each resident to ensure they have choice in maintaining their social, psychological, recreational, cultural and spiritual wellbeing. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.**: 
**What you will be doing**:
- Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities 
- Creating a positive homelike environment that promotes the delivery of social and recreational activities 
- Planning events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and resident's family and friends 
- Conducting continuous resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preference and needs, while ensuring the resident is aware of current programs and activities within the village 
- Providing a high standard of care that supports residents achieve maximum independence by meeting daily living and personal requirements within the care plan, and with consideration of individual preferences 
- Providing direct resident care in relation to assisting with meals service, mobility, and social support 
- Ensuring resident safety during activities, including conducting environmental and activity risk assessments and designing a safe work procedure

**Does this sound like you?**:
- Completion of tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (Aged Care) 
- Previous experience working within a residential aged care facility within a lifestyle or wellness team 
- Previous experience designing a suite of residential aged care lifestyle activities, tailored to resident needs 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience interacting with a wide range of people 
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families/representatives 
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents and their families/representatives 
- Strong customer-centric approach to business
