Test Engineer – Tactical Communications
Scottsdale, AZUp to $44.00/hour
Position Overview
Seeking a Test Engineer to support integration, verification, and validation of embedded tactical communications systems. This role works within a cross-functional engineering team to test and validate mission-critical hardware and software solutions using the Unified Testing Framework (UTF).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute system test plans, procedures, and diagnostics
* Perform functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing
* Support integration of hardware, firmware, and software systems
* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python (3.9+)
* Design test fixtures, equipment, and troubleshooting methods
* Implement verification and validation (V&V) methodologies
* Support Agile development and system integration activities
* Document test procedures, results, and reports
Required Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field
* 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
* Master's degree with 6 months of relevant experience
Key Skills
* Experience with test engineering concepts and methodologies
* Object-oriented programming and scripting experience
* Experience with signal analyzers, signal generators, or USRP test equipment
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in collaborative engineering environments
Work Environment
* Fully onsite
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ
