A service based in Melton is looking for a passionate and organised Assistant Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 28.75 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Hours will be Monday –Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:30 – 06:00 PM (Stay and PlayProgram).
About the role
Co-managinga team of Educators, you’ll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities.You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, withthe support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
1. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
2. Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
3. Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
4. Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service
Based in Melton, this role would see youembedded in a vibrant and cooperative school community, within a POD of 6 Services which have a Lead Coordinator. The space is comprised of a designated OSHC room and access to the school gym with plenty of fun options for the kids.

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

6. Strong and clear communication and planning skills
7. Team player with a desire to become a service leader
8. Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
9. Australian work rights
10. Ideally Diploma qualified
