Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a secure justice environment at a correctional site in Berkshire Park. This role is responsible for coordinating facilities services, maintaining compliance, and supporting positive site operations within a highly regulated setting.
Reporting to the broader BGIS operations structure, you'll work closely with on-site stakeholders and a small, established team to ensure services are delivered consistently, safely, and in line with contract requirements.
This role suits someone who is calm, adaptable, and comfortable working within structured environments, with the confidence to manage expectations and the flexibility to respond thoughtfully when challenges arise.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate facilities services to meet contract obligations and site requirements
* Support financial administration including budgets, invoices, and cost tracking
* Manage subcontractors and service providers to agreed standards
* Maintain accurate records across CMMS, compliance, and reporting systems
* Partner with site stakeholders to resolve issues professionally and respectfully
* Ensure WHS, environmental, and compliance obligations are met
* Contribute to continuous improvement and service consistency across the site
Education, Experience & Skills
* Experience in Facilities Management or a related operational role
* Comfort working in secure, regulated or government environments
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Clear, respectful communication with a range of stakeholders
* Experience using CMMS and standard office systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work well within a small, close-knit team
* Experience within justice, corrections, or similar environments
* Understanding of contractor management and compliance processes
Workplace Information
* Fully on-site at a secure facility in Berkshire Park
* Core hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
* Occasional after-hours support may be required for critical issues (site attendance is rare)
* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
* Client-mandated security clearances apply
